About Aurora Vision
Aurora Vision provides real-time aurora (northern lights) forecasts for Iceland and surrounding regions. The app uses live geomagnetic data, Kp-index readings, and cloud-cover maps to help you find the best time and place to witness the aurora borealis.

Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the aurora forecast?
The forecast is based on live NOAA / Space Weather Prediction Center data updated every few minutes. Short-term forecasts (0–3 hours) are highly reliable; longer forecasts are indicative only, as solar activity can change rapidly.
How do I enable aurora notifications?
Open the app, go to Settings → Notifications, and toggle on "Aurora Alert". You can set a minimum Kp threshold so you only get notified when activity is strong enough in your area.
Why is the map not loading?
The map requires an active internet connection. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection, then pull down to refresh. If the issue persists, force-close the app and reopen it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad, find Aurora Vision, and tap Cancel Subscription.
Which devices and iOS versions are supported?
Aurora Vision requires iOS 14.0 or later and is optimised for iPhone and iPad.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
In the app, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
I found a bug – how do I report it?
Please email support@auroravision.app with a short description of the issue, your device model, and iOS version. Screenshots are very helpful!
Privacy
Aurora Vision collects minimal data. Location data (if permitted) is used only on-device to provide localised forecasts and is never stored or shared with third parties. For full details see our Privacy Policy.
