We collect location data to:

• Recommend nearby radio stations based on your location
• Provide location-based station discovery features

This data is processed locally and used only for improving your listening experience. Location data is optional - you can use the app without providing location access.

2.2 Listening Preferences

We store locally on your device:

• Favorite radio stations
• Recently played stations
• App settings and preferences
• Audio quality preferences

This data is stored locally on your device using Hive local storage and is never sent to our servers.

2.3 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Radio Browser API: We query the Radio Browser public database to retrieve radio station information. No personal data is sent.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and purchase information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
• Audio Streaming: Radio streams are provided by third-party radio stations. We do not control or monitor the content of these streams.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide access to global radio stations
• Remember your favorite stations and preferences
• Recommend stations based on your location (if permitted)
• Manage your subscription status
• Improve app functionality and user experience

4. Data Storage and Security

All user preferences, favorites, and settings are stored locally on your device using secure Hive database. We do not transmit personal data to remote servers except:

• Subscription verification through RevenueCat
• Radio station metadata queries through Radio Browser API

5. Permissions Required

The app may request the following permissions:

• INTERNET: Required to stream radio stations and access station database
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (Optional): Used for location-based station recommendations
• WAKE_LOCK: Keeps device awake during radio playback
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Allows radio playback to continue when app is in background
• Notification Access: Required for playback controls and now playing information

All permissions are requested with clear explanations of their purpose.

6. Subscription and Payment

Payment processing is handled securely by Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not store your payment information. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If location features are used, parental supervision is recommended.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, if significant changes are made, by displaying a prominent notice in the app.

When using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto:

• Station lists and favorites are displayed in your car's interface
• No additional data is collected beyond what's already in the app
• Audio playback metadata is shared with your car's system for display purposes only

14. Reviewer Access

For app review purposes, we provide a special access code. This feature is only for authorized reviewers and does not collect or transmit any additional data.

15. Content Disclaimer

WorldWaveRadio provides access to third-party radio stations. We are not responsible for:

• Content broadcast by radio stations
• Availability or quality of radio streams
• Copyright or licensing of broadcast content

Radio stations are responsible for their own content and licensing.
